Senior Vice President of Sports Performance
Robby Stewart is regarded as one of the premier strength-training experts in America. His sport-specific training philosophy has improved the explosiveness and overall performance of over 1,000 athletes across all major sports. He oversees all CES Performance strength-training programs and splits his time between Atlanta and Houston.
Prior to CES Performance, Robby served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for his alma mater, the University of Georgia, where he established UGA’s first Olympic strength program and then supervised strength and conditioning for defensive front of the Bulldogs football team. In 1996, Robby trained the Swedish National Federation power-lifting team for the Olympic Games held in Atlanta.
Robby holds a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and is certified as Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has served as a speaker for the NSCA at numerous universities around the country.
Director of Sports Performance
Aaron Roberts has been a Sports Performance Coach at CES Performance since May of 2000. He has worked extensively with professional athletes at our Atlanta facility and is an integral part of the CES Performance Academy program for high school and youth athletes.
Aaron is a CES Master Trainer in both Speed and Strength and he holds a degree in Physical Education from Cortland College in New York. Prior to his career at CES Performance he completed his Strength and Conditioning Internship within the Syracuse University athletic department.
Director of Sports Performance
Tyler played baseball and football at multiple colleges in Oklahoma before being drafted and followed by the Chicago White Sox. After injuries ended his career he joined the training staff at Oklahoma State and worked under Head Strength Coach Rob Glass, Tyler’s coaching mentor.
Director of Sports Performance
Eric Kluft has spent his athletic development career specializing in high school and collegiate athletes. Prior to his role at CES Performance, he served as Assistant Athletic Director at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas where he worked with athletes in all high school sports. His collegiate experience includes all levels of collegiate athletes across multiple sports. However, he has also worked with professional athletes from MLB, NFL, NBA and the New Zealand Rugby League.
Eric was an all-conference football player at Hanover College where he holds multiple football records and received his B.A. in Communications in 2003. Eric has multiple certifications and has worked with the Carroll Clinic and Texas Orthopedic Associates to develop post-rehabilitation programs for knee, ankle and shoulder injuries. He oversees all CES Performance on-site programs in Dallas.
Assistant Director of Sports Performance
Tommy Barnes is a former collegiate football player and military veteran who joined the CES Performance staff after holding the position of Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning for Men’s Athletics/Football at the University of Tennessee.
After setting various power lifting records in high school, Tommy joined the US Army Reserves and served as Chem Ops Specialist before enrolling at Jacksonville State University. He walked on to the football team and quickly earned a scholarship but his collegiate career was cut short when he was called to active duty less than a month after September 11, 2001.
After an eight-year stint with the military, Barnes finished his bachelor’s degree at Jacksonville State University and started his coaching career. He has held positions on the Strength and Conditioning staffs at Jacksonville State, UAB, North Florida and the University of Tennessee. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) under the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and serves as a mentor in the CSCCA-SCCC certification program. Barnes is also certified with USA Weightlifting (USAW) and is a competitive Olympic Weightlifter in the organization while also holding a certification with USA Track and Field.
Tommy is married to the former Love Henderson and the couple has 2 children: Jaiden and Joseph.
Tara Comfort is a former U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team member and a High School National Player of the Year. She was named SMU’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2001 and she is a member of the SMU Hall of Fame.
After competing at the elite level, Tara has transitioned into a career of mentoring and developing some of the best high school and collegiate athletes in the Dallas area. She holds numerous certifications and is an expert in the strength and speed development of high school and collegiate athletes in multiple sports.
Reggie Moore is a Houston, Texas native and former UCLA Bruins receiver coach (2008-2010). Prior to that, he coached at North Dakota State University after beginning his collegiate coaching career at the University of Washington in 2003. While at UW, he worked with Huskies 1st round pick Reggie Williams, the #9 pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2004 draft. Before coaching at the collegiate level, Reggie served as a volunteer coach at his alma mater, James Madison High in Houston, under legendary coach Ray Seals. His coaching career also includes minority internships with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.
Moore played football at UCLA from 1986 to1991. He was a 3-year starter and favorite target of NFL hall of fame quarterback Troy Aikman. The Sporting News All-American then played three years in the NFL with the New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams. An injury ended Reggie’s career in 1995 when he was playing for the CFL’s San Antonio Texans.
His father Zeke Moore played 11 seasons as a defensive back for the Houston Oilers and currently is an ambassador for the Houston Texans.
John Greene has a diverse experience and expertise spanning many sports and levels. While at IMG Academy in Florida, he trained future NFL players preparing for the NFL Draft. He’s served as an assistant basketball coach and an assistant track & field coach at the collegiate level and has also been behind the whistle as a referee of several amateur sports. His training experience includes amateur athletes in track, tennis, basketball, football and several other sports.
John graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Sports Management. He holds numerous training certifications.
Jessica Goswitz is from Knoxville, Tennessee where she won 2 state championships in basketball and was named a Miss Basketball Finalist her senior year. During her high school career she was named to the All-State Team four consecutive years and the State All-Tournament team three years. She was also a McDonald’s All American Nominee for the state of Tennessee.
Jessica received a full scholarship to play basketball at Rice University (2009-2013). A three-year co-captain and four-year starter, she’s played against some of the most talented players in the nation. Throughout her tenure she received the “Isgren Owl Award” given to the most dedicated and persistent female athlete at Rice for strength and conditioning. In recognition of her success off the court, Jessica was one of six female basketball players named to the C-USA All-Academic Team. Jessica and Houston Texans star Arian Foster were featured on the cover of Houston Methodist’s Leading Medicine Magazine in 2013.
Antonio Banks is a former assistant strength coach at the University of Tennessee. He played football at Virginia Tech before being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1997. His professional career includes time with the Vikings, Oakland Raiders and the Canadian Football League. After retiring from football, Antonio held several teaching and coaching positions at the high school and collegiate levels.
He holds a degree in Sports Management from Virginia Tech and has several certifications specializing in Olympic weightlifting (USAW).
Mike Connolly, a former Division 1 collegiate student-athlete, is from Sarasota, Florida, and graduated with a degree in Exercise Science while minoring in Sports Management. As a linebacker at Liberty University, Mike was on a team that won 4 consecutive conference championships and elected Team Captain his senior year. Mike served as an assistant to Strength and Conditioning Director and World-Class lifter Bill Gillespie while at LU, to which he owes much of his mentoring. He has experience working with athletes of all sports, specializing in football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and soccer. He enjoys the relationships built between the coaches and athletes and likes helping athletes attain their performance goals.
Ben Moulden, a former linebacker at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL, majored in Exercise Science and is certified under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS). Prior to joining the CES Performance staff, he held various speed and strength development positions, including stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars, The Bolles School and the University of North Florida. Ben has worked with athletes of all levels and sports such as track and field, basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. In addition to improving the physical attributes of his athletes, he stresses the development of mental and leadership skills.
Melodie Johnson is a former Division 1 collegiate athlete and graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was a starter for the Demons soccer team as a freshman and sophomore before injuries ended her playing career. Despite her injuries Mel continued to contribute to the team, serving as a coach until the end of her senior year. She graduated from NSU with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. Prior to joining the Houston staff, Mel worked with CES Performance athletes in Dallas.
